eMudhra Limited is a Certifying Authority licensed by Controller of Certifying Authorities, under Government of India. eMudhra operates under the guidelines set by Information Technology Act. With more than one million certificates issued, eMudhra caters to all kinds of subscribers who use Digital Certificates for Income Tax, MCA (ROC), Tenders, Foreign Trade, Banking, Railways, and many other needs. Also, eMudhra is “Licensed eSign Service Provider” by Controller of Certifying Authorities, Ministry of Electronics, and Information Technology – A Digital India initiative. eMudhra certificates can be used and relied in any online or offline applications.

TYPE OF CERTIFICATES: In accordance to the guidelines of IT-Act and the X.509 Certificate Policy for India PKI published by Controller of Certifying Authorities, eMudhra issues six types of certificates: Signature, Encryption, Device/System, SSL Server, Code Signing and Document Signer Certificate.

CLASS OF CERTIFICATES: Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3: In accordance to the guidelines of IT-Act and the X.509 Certificate Policy for India PKI published by Controller of Certifying Authorities, eMudhra issues 3 classes of Certificates, namely: Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3. Each class of digital signature certificate is associated with specific security features and corresponds to a specific level of trust.

Paperless Digital Signature Certificate (DSC):

Paperless Digital Signature Certificate can be issued in 10 to 15 minutes through Paperless Process. It is an easy and fastest way to get Digital Signature. This facility is enabled for applying Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) in a paperless manner using “Aadhaar Paperless Offline eKYC” OR “PAN”. The Applicant must be an Aadhaar/PAN holder and can apply for DSC using Aadhaar eKYC or PAN based eKYC.
